Essential Oils for Arthritis
According to the CDC: "From 2013- 2015, an estimated 54.4 million US adults (22.7%) annually had ever been told by a doctor that they had some form of arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, lupus, or fibromyalgia."*
Essential Oils can ease the pain and inflammation of arthritis. Consider the warming oils such as Cardamon, Ginger, Black Pepper and Cinnamon Leaf Oil. Marjoram, Sweet Birch, Frankincense and Wintergreen have been know to reduce inflammation.
6 drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil
4 drops Rosemary Essential Oil
6 drops Sweet Basil Essential Oil
4 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
4 drops Orange Essential Oil
4 ounces of a carrier oil such as Sweet Almond, Jojoba Oil or Olive Oil
1 ounce Beeswax or Candelilla Wax (vegan)
Slowly melt the wax completely, add the carrier oil and Essential Oils. Mix well. Place in a clean container until cool. It should have the consistency of Vaseline.
